Vista Point- Photoshop Improved

Copyright Nathan Montgomery, 2008

After two great days of learning a lot about photography, I took the last few hours of the workshop this morning to learn about photoshop. Here are the results of the Vista Point photoshopping. Personally, I think the improvement is considerable.

This image is definitely better. I see a brighter sky above the river and the frame. I will be curious as to what all you really did.

I didn't do much. I boosted the color a little bit and sharpened the image. Otherwise, it's the original shot.

I should add that one of the most striking differences between the two shots is the Vista House itself. Make sure to compare it between the two shots.

Also, pay attention to the walls of the bluff in the far lower right. You can really see the value of sharpening there.

Of course, sharpening has costs- namely, pixalation. But in raw, these images are about 54 inches in their longest dimension, so you can handle a little pixalation, even in an 8x10ish size picture, I bet.
