It's been a long while since I've had time to give to photography, but I'm on Spring Break this week, and I decided to take advantage of it by heading out with my camera.
I've taken hundreds of shots of the Old Well on UNC's quad (a few of which can be found here), but today, I tried to find a shot I'd never taken before, and this is what I ended up with.

Fantastic!!!!!
It could almost be a metaphor for the week.
The doorway in the dark shadows.
The nearly ethereal white pillars.
The branch in the foreground... very narly with age... yet the first buds of spring just starting to show...
I love it.

It was important to me to get the branch in the shot. There is a piture of Eve Carson on The Daily Tar Heel's website, where she is holding onto a branch from that tree, hanging in the air and about as happy as a person could be. It brings tears to my eyes every time I see it.
Awesome shot. I love the contrast in colors between the buildings and branch and the old well, in particular the columns.
